Led by instructors that are SCA authorised, Marino Academy is a certified Premier Training Campus offering the SCA syllabus for barista skills and roasting skills.

Led by instructors that are SCA authorised, Marino Academy is a certified Premier Training Campus offering the SCA syllabus for barista skills and roasting skills.
To be a Premier Training Campus, a campus must meet all requirements of the SCA PTS programme and demonstrate a calibrated environment to teach within SCA standards and protocols. Campuses also work closely with authorised SCA trainers for class offerings to ensure the highest quality of instruction.
At the academy, students acquire hands-on knowledge and unique coffee learning skillsets that equip them to pursue a career in the speciality coffee industry.
A proud founder and the lead trainer of Marino Academy Malaysia, Eddy Lau has been pursuing his passion and interest for the world of coffee since 2007. He started his coffee journey by completing the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe Barista Skills Professional Curriculum in 2014 and has become an authorised SCA trainer since then. He has also completed the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe Roasting Skills Professional Curriculum.
Eddy Lau built the roasting department of a company in China from the ground and through his leadership, the team in China has serviced over 1000 clients, including cafes, restaurants and hotels throughout China.
Ultimately, he also steered the roasting company to achieve Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Certification and ISO Certification (ISO220000:2018).
